Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a fitness / recreation center; for site work for a fitness / recreation center; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

Dupont State Recreational Forest encompasses approximately 12,489 acres in Transylvania and Henderson Counties in North Carolina and has over 60 miles of multiuse trails that support the Forests overall recreational opportunities. Visitation has dramatically increased from 214,000 visitors in 2011 to 1,300,000 visitors in 2021: a 600% increase The approved funding will create a Master Recreational Facility Plan that includes planning for the recreational infrastructure and network of trails within the Forest. Input from potential user groups, desired experiences for those groups, trail density analyses and other Forest, Wildlife Management and Natural Resource preservation objectives must be considered. The plan will also include recommendations for trail system management, new and extended trail segments, trail improvements and consolidation, trail sustainability and management measures for purpose-built trail systems and mitigation of trail impacts due to high visitation. In order to offer architectural, engineering, or landscape architectural services in response to this solicitation, the proposing firm must be properly licensed to practice Architecture, Engineering, or Landscape Architecture in the State of North Carolina.
