Dumpster Collection of Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials for a Period of Three Years With Two Additional Bilateral One-year Optional Years. Each bid must be accompanied by Certified Check, Cashiers Check or Bid Bond to the order of the City of Camden, in the amount equal to ten percent of the sum of the bid but not in excess of $20,000.00 together with a non-collusion affidavit. Proposals must be made on the standard Proposal Form, in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. The City encourages prospective bidders to deliver their bids before the designated date and time of the opening via certified mail or overnight delivery carrier. Bids may not be emailed, faxed or transmitted over the telephone. Addenda may be issued for this bid. It is the sole responsibility of the person submitting the bid to be knowledgeable of all addenda related to this procurement. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40a:11-23(c)(3), notice of addenda will be advertised in the Citys official newspaper (Courier Post) and one newspaper of general circulation published in the State of New Jersey (the Star-Ledger). Addenda and notice of same will be emailed to any person/firm who received a bid package. The applicant/proposer shall submit one (1) original with original signatures marked original and two (2) complete and exact copies of the original marked copy of his/her proposal and must submit an electronic copy on a cd or flash drive. Bidders must submit complete and detailed specifications of the product or service, which Bidder proposes to supply. The right to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 7:26H-6.1 et seq. and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with applicable law is expressly reserved by the authority of the City Council of the City of Camden. Bidders are also required to comply with the requirements of Affirmative Action Regulation of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. (P.L.1975, c.127) and Affirmative Action Compliance N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. Bids will not be received after the time specified for the opening of the bids. Bids received after the hour appointed will be deemed invalid and returned unopened to the Bidder.
