Greater Portland Transit District (GPM) is accepting proposals for a BUS WASH REHABILITATION project Greater Portland Transit District (GPM) is accepting electronic proposals for a bus wash rehabilitation project at its location of 114 St. John Street Portland, Maine. GPM expects the work to be completed by November 2022. Detailed listing of the specifications of the current bus wash system in use, and desired scope of work are included in the RFP document. GPM receives funding from the Federal Transit Administration and as such is required to follow federal procurement regulations and to require its consultants and contractors to understand and adhere to those requirements. FTA requirements are conditions for this RFP and contract, and are included in the RFP document. The contractor shall provide and install the following scope for this rehabilitation project:
o Replace existing nozzles
o Replace existing motors for brushes
o Replace brushes (seeking softer material options)
o Replace brush switches
o Replace brush shafts
o Replace brush shaft bearings (Both top and bottom)
o Replace any worn out rails and hardware
o Replace pre-soak mat
o Install an undercarriage wash
o Install wheel spinners/wheel cleaners (high pressure)
o Install boost pump (120 psi range)
o Electrical upgrade (If necessary, with boost pump provided)
