Construction of a bridge structure located on Middle Road approximately 0.4 miles east of the intersection of Middle Road and East German Lane in Conway, Arkansas. The work includes all labor, material, and equipment required to perform the work as described in the project plans and specifications. Proposals shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check upon a national or state bank in an amount not less than five per cent (5%) of the total maximum bid price payable without recourse to Faulkner County, Arkansas, or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within ten (10) days after notice of award of Contract to him. The notice of award of Contract shall be given by the Owner within thirty (30) days following the opening of bids. This is a joint project between the City of Conway and Faulkner County. The successful Bidder must furnish a performance bond and a separate payment bond upon the forms provided herein in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price from an approved surety company holding a permit from the State of Arkansas to act as surety, or other surety or sureties acceptable to the Owner. The City of Conway and Faulkner County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any formalities, and the accept the proposal deemed to be in their best interest.
