*As of December 2022, the owner has determined a prequalified list of design-build companies and designs are underway. Plans are expected to be completed in summer 2023. Although a firm timeline for construction as not been determined, construction is anticipated to begin prior to early fall 2023. The City of Kings Mountain is soliciting firms to participate in their intention to procure a Design-Builder to deliver design and construction services for Project South, which includes a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 4.0 Million Gallons Per Day (MGD), expandable to 6.0 MGD, gravity sewer collection system, lift stations, and force main. SOQs will not be publicly read, but a list of respondents will be available for public viewing by 10:00 AM on the fifth business day following receiving the SOQ's. Proposers must register their intent to submit by contacting the City of Kings Mountain Procurement Office by emailing Cathy Herring at cathyh@cityofkm.com. Prospective proposers must provide a name, phone number, and email address when they notify the Procurement Department of their intent. Additional information on the project will be given to the Potential proposers at that time.
