Contractors desiring to receive access to unused fiber strands within the city's Outside Plant (OSP) fiber infrastructure and willing to provide capital cost reductions, and/or in kind ongoing OSP locating, maintenance and repairs for access are encouraged to provide alternative pricing based on those cost sharing or in-kind match models. Bidders may choose to bid the fiber install only, the Proposed Option only or on both. Bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany each bid. The bid bond or check of the accepted bidder shall be forfeited in the event said bidder fails or refuses to enter into a contract and/or fails to furnish the additional bonds required herein. Checks submitted in lieu of bid bonds from unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon request. The successful bidder must submit to Riverton City full performance and payment bonds in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Work cannot begin until bonds have been received by the City. Bonding costs must be included in bid price. It is the intent of these documents to describe the work required to complete this project in sufficient detail to secure comparable bids. All parts or work not specifically mentioned which are necessary to provide a complete installation shall be included in the bid and shall conform to all Local, State and Federal requirements.
