The Town will brief all prospective respondents on the goal of the RFP. Attendance at the pre- proposal meeting is expected, but not mandatory, for all persons who intend to submit a proposal. Questions concerning the proposal package will be welcome at the meeting. A description of the project is contained in the individual request for proposal ("RFP") packets, which may be obtained at the Town of Islip Purchasing Department during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday). Proposals may not be faxed or e-mailed. For information, please call (631) 224-5515. One (1) original and four (4) copies of both the technical proposals and cost proposals must be submitted. The technical proposals and cost proposals shall be submitted in SEPARATE SEALED ENVELOPES. No responsibility shall attach to any person or persons for premature opening of proposals not properly labeled or sealed. No proposal shall be withdrawn or price increased for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days after being publicly opened. In the event proposals are rejected, or no proposals are received, the Department of Purchasing is fully authorized to re-advertise for proposals. The Town of Islip is not responsible for late or misdirected delivery of proposals.
