Kentucky Housing Corporation (KHC) is soliciting bids for janitorial services. KHC will enter Competitive Sealed Bidding with any Bidder that is deemed a Responsible and Responsive Bidder to this Invitation to Bid. KHC is the state housing finance agency and a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Created by the General Assembly in 1972, KHC's mission is to invest in quality housing solutions for families and communities across Kentucky. Services are to be provided as follows:
Daily Cleaning - All locations
Empty waste and recycling receptacles, replace liners, and deposit in provided dumpster. Wash receptacles as needed.
Vacuum all carpets and mats, including elevator and internal staircases.
Vacuum and sweep all hard floors.
Dust all open areas on horizontal surfaces of desks, chairs, tables, and other furniture.
Damp wipe all horizontal surfaces with disinfectant.
Mop all hard floors with disinfectant, including internal staircases.
Remove cobwebs as needed from all areas.
Remove fingerprints and marks from around light switches and door frames.
Clean glass doors and all internal glass.
Polish all brass and bright work on doors and cabinets.
Spot clean walls and painted surface.
Daily Cleaning - Kitchen, breakrooms, and washrooms
Stock toilet tissue, hand towels, hand soap, and seat liners.
Empty waste and recycling receptacles, replace liners, and deposit in provided dumpster. Wash receptacles as needed.
Clean and polish mirrors.
Wipe hand towel dispensers and hand dryers.
Wipe down doors and sills - remove all dust and prints.
Clean and sanitize all basins. Polish all bright work.
Dust partitions, tops of mirrors, and frames.
Remove splash marks from walls and partitions around basins.
Mop clean restroom and kitchen floors with disinfectant.
Wipe down elevator and hand railing on staircases.
Spot clean internal glass.
Toilets and urinals to be cleaned and disinfected inside and out.
Wash dishes in kitchens, to include coffee pots, cups, etc.
Monthly Cleaning
Vacuum all vents and chairs. Clean out approximately six refrigerators at the end of each month.
Quarterly Cleaning
Spray buff all floors, except the Main Building West Wing restrooms. Clean/shampoo any carpeted areas. Services are to be provided at the following KHC locations:
Main Building - 1231 Louisville Road - 38,000 gross sq. ft.
West Annex - 1231 Louisville Road - 9,051 gross sq. ft.
East Annex - 1221 Louisville Road - 2,400 gross sq. ft.
Residential Energy Efficiency - 600 Warsaw Street - 6,000 gross sq. ft. Bidder shall furnish all cleaning supplies and trash can liners, as well as all labor, materials, supplies, tools, appliances, equipment, devices, etc. needed to perform services. Services are to be performed between the hours of 5:30p.m. and 9:30p.m. Monday through Friday and on the weekends, as needed. The contract will be for no longer than one year with the possibility of 2 one-year renewals, at the sole discretion of KHC.
Each Bidder shall carefully examine the requirements and items requested.
The failure of any Bidder to receive or examine any form, instrument, or document, or to acquaint themselves with the Services or location will in no way relieve the Bidder from any obligation with respect to its Bid.
Bidder shall submit only one Bid for Services. Multiple bids will not be accepted. Any questions posed by Bidders prior to the response deadline must be submitted in writing or electronic mail to: Lori Davis, Kentucky Housing Corporation, LoDavis@kyhousing.org, or 1231 Louisville Road, Frankfort, KY 40601; or via phone at 502-564-7630. Lori Davis will determine whether the response could have a material effect on the Bidder's proposal. If so, both the question and response will be posted on KHC's website for all potential Bidders to view. If not, the response will be made only to the questioner. In either case, the file will be documented to reflect the result.
