The City of College Station is soliciting proposal(s) for the development of affordable housing by interested and qualified entities via funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and/or HOME Investment Partnerships Grant (HOME) Program through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HOME funding is available exclusively for certified Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDO's) eligible to receive allocations of CHDO set-aside funds. The development of affordable housing could include the development of new affordable housing units for sale or lease to income-qualified households or the acquisition and rehabilitation of affordable housing units for sale or lease to income-qualified households. It is the intent of the City of College Station to select one or more agencies to accomplish objectives and/or supply services outlined in the City's PY 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan as well as other City planning documents.
