Estimated Budget: $28,000 to $30,000 Questions Deadline: 7/25/22 at 1:00 PM Bids will be received at the above-referenced location for a lump sum, single prime, Overall General Construction Contract as follows: PROJECT: Proposed New Union Public Library LOCATED AT: 1980 Morris Avenue Union, NJ 07083 If a Bidder is interested in having a site visit on an alternate date, the Bidder shall contact the Township Business Administrator at dtravisano@uniontownship.com by no later than 10:00 A.M. on July 13 and the Township will arrange an alternate date for such visit later that week. Bidders must use and fully complete proposal blanks, within the Project Manual furnished by the Owner AND COMPLY WITH ALL REQUIREMENTS ATTACHED THERETO, AND INCLUDE a certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond, in an amount of ten (10%) percent of the Bid, including alternates, but not in excess of $20,000.00, furnished by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. The Township of Union reserves the right to reject any and all Bids in accordance with applicable law. Bidders are notified that they must comply with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. (Public Works Contractor Registration Act) and N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 et seq. (Business Registration of Public Contractors Act). Bidders are notified that they must comply with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 52:33-3, regarding the use of domestic materials on public work. Bidders are put on notice that the Owner is an exempt organization under the provisions of the New Jersey State Sales and Use Tax (N.J.S.A. 54:32B-1 et seq.) and is not required to pay sales tax. Bidders are put on notice that they are required to comply with all rules and regulations and orders promulgated by the State Treasurer pursuant to N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and with all provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 through 10:2-4 (Affirmative Action), and N.J.A.C. 17:27. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof, except as permitted pursuant to applicable law, i.e. N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3. The Owner reserves the right to consider the Bids for sixty (60) days after receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any informalities in any Bid or Bids, and to make such awards pursuant to applicable law.
