Demolition, site work and addition to a mixed-use development in Vevay, Indiana. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: Work includes a New 2-Story Connector Addition connecting the existing Switzerland County High School and the existing Switzerland County Middle School. This includes select demo and site utilities work. CONTRACT TYPE: The project(s) will be constructed utilizing the Construction Manager as Constructor (CM.c) delivery method for public work. The Construction Manager will contract with multiple First Tier Subcontractors for the Bid items listed below, with bids received on a lump sum basis for each bid item. Each proposal shall include all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to completethe project in strict accordance with the Construction Drawings, Project Schedule, Project Manual and Technical Specifications. The Construction Manager will receive sealed Bids for the following Bid Items of work: Bid Item #01: Site Excavation and Utilities Work Bid Item #02: Concrete and General Trades Work Bid Item #03: Steel Work Bid Item #04: Masonry Work Bid Item #05: Roofing and Metal Panel Work SECTION 00 1113 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Bid Item #06: Aluminum Window and Door Work Bid Item #07: Metal Stud, Drywall, Insulation, Fireproofing, and Acoustical Ceilings Work Bid Item #08: Painting Work Bid Item #09: Ceramic Tiling and Pre-Cast Terrazzo Flooring Work Bid Item #10: Carpet, Resilient Tile and Base Work Bid Item #11: Manufactured Casework and Lab Casework Work Bid Item #12: Fire Protection Work Bid Item #13: Plumbing, Mechanical, HVAC Ductwork and Temperature Controls Work Bid Item #14: Electrical and Fire Alarm Work SUBCONTRACTOR PREQUALIFICATION: All subcontractors should be pre-qualified prior to submission of the bid. SAFETY: All Contractors shall comply with OSHA and IOSHA rules and regulations regarding Safety for this project and all contractors shall abide by the 2020 Hagerman Safety Manual. TAXES, PERMITS, INSPECTIONS: All Bids shall be submitted without inclusion in the bid price for the amounts, if any, of Indiana State Gross Retail and Use Tax (generally called the "Sales Tax") for materials and properties that are to be purchased by the Bidder that will become a permanent part of the Project.
