Renovation of an educational facility in North Haven, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Replacement of (2) Two Compressors for Chiller #1 at North Haven High School to include: a. Remove defective York Screw Compressors b. Install same model remanufactured York Screw Compressors c. Replace oil in the compressors d. Change the liquid line filter dryers e. Evacuate the systems f. Install complete new R407C refrigerant and charge each system g. Minimum of a 1-year warranty on compressors After bids are received the Director of Finance, Operations and HR in conjunction with the Director of Facilities may analyze whether vendors have submitted comparable bids and meet the requirements called for. In reviewing the bids, the Director of Finance, Operations and HR in conjunction with the Director of Facilities may consider past performance and financial responsibility in conjunction with sales and service of the vendors. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects in same, or to choose to make purchases other than strictly in accordance with price considerations, and/or to choose other than the lowest bidder, if it be determined in the best interest in the Board of Education of North Haven. Bidders are advised hereby of the existence of an Ordinance concerning Bid Preference for Town - Based Businesses. Total bid to include cost for replacement of two failed compressors, labor, all parts and supplies, and refrigerant. Work must be completed on or before August 25, 2022.
