Description

Renovation of a mixed-use development in Louisville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and swimming pool.

Questions should be sent via email to Evan Riddell at evan.riddell@louisville.edu On behalf of the University of Louisville Planning, Design, & Construction (UPDC) will accept bids from qualified contractors for structural upgrades to the Ralph Wright Natatorium. The project includes the addition of structural steel to brace and reinforce the existing steel building columns in the high-bay portion of the Natatorium. Steel tubes are added between columns and steel angles and plates are added to reinforce and brace the columns. New steel shall be connected to the existing structural steel columns and existing cold-formed steel wall and roof girts per the plans and details. The new construction plans/specs are included, and the existing building plans are included for reference. The means and methods of construction are entirely the responsibility of the contractor. Contractors shall exercise caution, as the existing building columns are no longer plumb and may become unstable during construction. Temporary construction bracing shall be utilized as deemed appropriate by the Contractor and their engineer. Work times are critical, as this facility is in operation.
