The Town of Newtown (heretofore known as "Town") is seeking proposals for site work for two locations for emergency communication compounds. Prospective bidders can request a copy of the specs, if interested via email. The Town Requests That All Respondents Insure That the Following Specifications Be Included in the Build Sheet for This Project, by Location. Please Provide Bids by the Two Locations Together With the Segregated Prices for Both Locations. Any Exceptions From This Specification Will Be Explained at the Bottom of the Bid Page. Eden Hill Road- Ecf: General Scope of Work Consists of the Installation of an Emergency Communications Facility/compound Located in the Existing Open Space Portion of Land Abutting the Eden Hill Road Right of Way as Follows: 1. Installation of a 14'x 41'+/- Gravel Surfaced Communications Facility Compound With an 8' Chainlink Security Fence at Perimeter. 2. Installation of Emergency Communications Equipment and Propane Fueled Backup Power Generator on a 10' X20' Concrete Pad. The Town Will Supply the Generator and Transfer Switch. 3. Installation of a 500 Gallon Above-ground Fuel Tank. The Contractor Will Supply the Tank and First Propane Fill. 4. Installation of a Direct Embedment Wood Pole With an Emergency Communications Omnidirectional Antenna Mounted at a Base Elevation of 60' a.g.l. The Contractor Will Supply the Pole. 5. Power and Telco Utilities for the Proposed Communications Facility Shall Be Routed From the Existing Utility Demarcs Located Within the Eden Hill Road Right of Way. Great Quarter Road - Ecf: General Scope of Work Consists of the Installation of an Emergency Communications Facility/compound Located in the Existing Open Space Portion of Land Abutting the Great Quarter Road Right of Way as Follows: 1. Installation of a 590'+/- Sf Gravel Surfaced Communications Facility Compound With an 8' Chainlink Security Fence at Perimeter. 2. Installation of Emergency Communications Equipment and Propane Fueled Backup Power Generator on a 10' X20' Concrete Pad. The Town Will Supply the Generator and the Transfer Switch. 3.
