Person Soil and Water Conservation District (District) is requesting quotes from qualified independent contractors for all labor, materials and equipment to clear and remove stream debris as part of the Streamflow Rehabilitation Assistance Program (StRAP). StRAP is a new program authorized by the NC General Assembly to protect and restore the integrity of drainage infrastructures. Stream debris projects have been identified at two locations within Person County as: A. Approximately 50 linear feet located on Deep Creek (see Map A) B. Approximately 2000 linear feet located on a tributary of South Flat River (see Map B) The contractor can expect to provide work including, but not limited to, tasks listed below: Vegetative debris removal Beaver dam removal On-site project meetings with District staff All debris material removed must be relocated outside of the 100-year floodplain as identified by District staff. By submitting quotes, contractor warrants that they are fully qualified and insured as required by the District. Contractor equally ensures they are experienced with adequate personnel and resources to undertake the services required and meet all obligations outlined in the quote and the resulting contract(s) within the deadlines for the project. September 2022 - Contract executed and project timeline created June 2023 - Estimated project completion
