These bids shall cover all the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment, mechanical workmanship, transportation, and services which are required for Diablo Vista Playground Renovation and Mulit-Sport Skate Park, Contract Nos. B-560 &616. The work location is Diablo vista Park, 1000 Tassajara ranch Drive, in Danville, California. The work generally includes, but is not limited to, The Play Area and Mult-Use Skate Park construction involves demolition of existing pavement, walls, landscaping, earthwork, installation of new concrete, resilient surfacing, play equipment, fencing, site furnishings; concrete skate park; metal railing and other appurtenances involved with skate park construction; removal and replacement of existing Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) curb, sidewalk, and curb ramp; removal and replacement of existing asphalt concrete pavement; installation of a combination of asphalt concrete overlay and inlay;; removal and replacement of existing pavement striping and markers, traffic control, and other items that are required by the plans, standard specifications, or these Special Provisions. Figure 1 displays a site Vicinity Map. The proposed skate park will be located within the 20-acre Diablo Vista Community Park at the corner of Crow Canyon Road and Tassajara Ranch Drive in Danville, California. Figure 2 shows the site boundaries and our exploration locations. We understand the proposed improvements will include replacement of the existing play structures in the park (for which we assume minimal geotechnical involvement) and construction of a multi-sport skate park to the southwest of the existing play area. We assume that the skate park will be constructed with reinforced concrete bearing on compacted soil.
