Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Milford, Delaware. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Under contract for required repair through DelDOT, with 80% DelDOT funded. Seeking grant funding for City’s 20%; otherwise, mix of general funds, utility funds (if applicable for utility relocations), RTT and MSA will support the City’s cost share. The bridge being replaced is located on Maple Street between NW Front Street and Causey Avenue. Bridge will be designed and bid by DELDOT. Federal Bridge Replacement Funds will cover 80% of the cost. The CIP construction cost is only an estimate. Actual cost will be determined once the design is complete and bids are awarded. In addition to the cost share of the bridge, the City will need to have the existing water and sewer lines relocated. The cost of the additional work, estimated at $250,000, will cover engineering design, bid prep and relocation costs. Relocation must occur prior to the bridge rehabilitat The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
