Prequalification of General Contractors for Box Grove Community Housing Development. The Region is issuing this Request for Prequalification (RFPQ) to receive submissions from qualified firms (Respondents) and prequalify General Contractors (Prequalified Respondents) who will be eligible to participate in the future procurement opportunity (Bid Solicitation) for the construction of the Community Housing Development located at 7085 14th Avenue, Markham (the Work). Provide three (3) examples of relevant experience for comparable assignments completed within the previous ten (10) year period from the issuance of this RFPQ. The specific examples should include mid-rise or high-rise projects with a value of $50,000,000 or greater, successfully completed (e.g., achieved substantial completion or occupancy) by the Respondent. Documents can be obtained at https://york.bidsandtenders.ca/ Question Deadline: Wed Apr 24, 2024 4:00:00 PM (EDT) TIMELINE: RFQ for contractors has closed; as of July 29, 2024, six (6) firms have prequalified. Stage II to the prequalified firms may be issued fall 2024 with an anticipated award December 2024. Anticipated start of construction: February 2025. Anticipated completion of the construction: August 2027.
