As of June 14, 2023, an architect has been selected for the project. Bidding is estimated for December 2023 - January 2024, and construction is estimated for spring of 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Architectural firms; hereinafter called "Proposer(s)" to secure an architectural feasibility study regarding possible renovations to the current Township Municipal Building located at 155 Powerville Road, Boonton Township, NJ to include the Boonton Township Police Department that is currently located at 155 Powerville Road, Boonton Township, Morris County, New Jersey. The building has been in use as the municipal building for 49 years; the oldest section is 96 years and the addition is 68 years. The options for the feasibility study are: 1) renovate existing building; 2) construct new building on site then demolish the existing building or 3) relocate entire operations to another site. Proposers shall provide said feasibility study based on their architectural expertise and knowledge of municipal and police operations, in order to provide information to the Towsnhip Committee as to the viability of renovations for said purpose to the existing Township Municipal Building and Police Headquarters footprint of approximately 8,100 square feet.
