The County of Lee is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide various solid waste services. Solid waste services include: Leaf and Limb Recycling Hauling and Disposal/Recycling Services for the Countys six (6) Convenience Centers Front End Dumpster Service and Disposal Operations of Manned Convenience Centers Other Services as suggested by the Company Interested parties may submit a proposal on any or all services. The Service provider shall furnish to the County a bond with a corporate surety in the amount equal to twenty-five percent (25%) of the annual contract sum, which shall be conditioned upon faithful performance of each and every term, condition and provision of the Contract, shall be in the form outlined in North Carolina General Statute 44A-33 and shall be approved by the Lee County attorney. This solicitation does not commit the County of Lee to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of proposal, or to procure or contract for services. The County of Lee reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to advertise anew, or to award a contract for part or portions thereof as in its judgment it shall deem to be in the best interest of the County. The term of the Contract shall be for a five (5) year period commencing on July 1, 2023 and ending on June 30, 2028. The terms of the Contract may be renewed for additional five (5) year periods by mutual agreement of the parties expressed in writing prior to the conclusion of the then current term.
