The City of Lakeway, Texas, hereafter called OWNER, is requesting sealed written Bids for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals, and for performing all Work required for the FY2022 Asphalt Pavement Overlay Improvements project, to include, in part: Edge milling of asphalt pavement, spoils removal/disposal, patch repair, level up, placement of asphalt, traffic control, and other incidental items for various streets within the City. A pre-bid meeting will not be hosted for this solicitation. Contractor awarded the project shall be required to furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The bonds shall be issued by a solvent corporate surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, and shall meet any other requirements established by law or by OWNER pursuant to applicable law. A Maintenance Bond will be required in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract price and is to remain in force for a period of two (2) years from the date of the letter of final conditional acceptance from the City of Lakeway. Contract Time is of the essence and all Base Bid Work shall be completed within twenty-eight (28) Calendar Days after the date specified in the Notice to Proceed, in accordance with the Bid Form, Section 00300. Liquidated damages are $1000 per Calendar Day for failure to complete the work within the allotted time. Minimum insurance requirements are specified in Section 00810, Supplemental General Conditions. OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any minor informality in any Bid or solicitation procedure (a minor informality is one that does not affect the competitiveness of the Bid).
