PURPOSE: The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide janitorial services at the following eight (8) locations: VDOT Chancellor Area Headquarters (AHQ) 12321 Corter Avenue Fredericksburg, VA 22407 VDOT Falmouth Area Headquarters (AHQ) 1007 Thomas Lane Fredericksburg, VA 22405 VDOT Farmers Area Headquarters (AHQ) 13257 Fredericksburg Turnpike Woodford, VA 22580 VDOT Ladysmith Area Headquarters (AHQ) 20030 Patriot Highway Ruther Glen, VA 22546 VDOT Massaponax Area Headquarters (AHQ) 8409 Patriot Highway Fredericksburg, VA 22408 VDOT Post Oak Area Headquarters (AHQ) 7219 Black Rock Drive Spotsylvania, VA 22553 VDOT Stafford Area Headquarters (AHQ) 164 Wyche Road Stafford, VA 22554 VDOT Port Royals Area Headquarters (AHQ) 22516 Tidewater Trail Port Royal, VA 22535 PERIOD OF CONTRACT: From date of award forward one year with the option for four (4) successive one year renewals QUESTIONS REGARDING THIS INVITATION FOR BID: Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Karen Altman at Karen.Altman@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM on August 5, 2022. Mandatory Site Visits at the following locations will follow the pre-bid conference you must attend the prebid as well as ALL site visits: Ladysmith AHQ's 20030 Patriot Highway Ruther Glen, VA 22546 Farmers AHQ's 13257 Fredericksburg Turnpike, Fredericksburg, VA 22580 Port Royal AHQ's 22516 Tidewater Trail, Port Royal, VA 22535 Due to the importance of all bidders having a clear understanding of the specifications/scope of work and requirements of this solicitation, participation at this pre-bid conference and site visits will be a prerequisite for submitting a bid. The purpose of this conference is to allow potential bidders an opportunity to present questions and obtain clarification relative to any facet of this solicitation. Have a copy of the solicitation with you. Any changes resulting from this conference will be issued in a written addendum to the solicitation.
