Kingman County, Kansas is soliciting bids for construction of Kingman County X.0-21.2 Bridge Rehab. The project consists of replacing the steel beam portion (north four spans) of a bridge located 1 mile south and 2 miles east of Rago on SE 40" Avenue over the Chikaskia River. Kingman County shall provide all of the funds required for this project. All Federal, State and County regulations must be complied with. All Bidders are to be prequalified with the Kansas Department of Transportation, as outlined in Section 102 of the KDOT Standard Specifications. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a Certified or Cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Checks or bonds are to be made payable to Kingman County and serve as a guarantee of the sincerity and integrity of the bidder, and shall be forfeited to the County if said proposal or bid is accepted and the bidder fails to execute the contract and file the required statutory and performance bonds as required in the contract documents. Work will commence no sooner than the date of the signed contract (earliest start date) and no later than February 15, 2023 (late start date). All work shall be completed within 60 working days after the Notice to Proceed.
