Prime Contracts for the construction of the project will consist of the following: General Construction Plumbing Construction HVAC Construction Electrical Construction This project is being supported in part, by an American Rescue Plan Act grant awarded to Liberty Township, by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. This project is a Prevailing Wage project under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates, Act 422 of 1961, P.L. 987, amended, administered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful prime contractors will be required to comply with all requirements of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates Act. The successful prime contractors shall comply with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, Act 222 of October 27, 1955 (P.L. 744) (43 PS Section 951, et. seq.) of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prohibiting discrimination because of race, color, religious creed, ancestry, age, sex, national origin, handicap or disability, by employers, employment agencies, labor organizations, contractors and others. A certified check or bank draft payable to the order of Liberty Township, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total of the Bid, shall be submitted with each bid. The Bidder shall include the fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with the bid. Bids may be held by Liberty Township, for up to 60 days from the date of opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. Liberty Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities, or to negotiate contract amounts.
