Project Description: The Project consists of earthwork, concrete, tilt-up concrete, structural steel, metal fabrications, steel stud framing, drywall, painting, wall covering, flooring, tile, elevator, seating, stage rigging, curtains, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Project: The Carlsbad High School Performing Arts Theater is a 1,600 sf addition to the existing Performing Arts Building. The existing building is 17,693 sf, new addition is 84,963 sf. Except as specifically stated to the contrary, the work of this contract shall consist of construction of, to the extent indicated, on the plans and specifications. Extent of work is shown on drawings, including schedules, notes, and details to show size and location of all items of work of each and every Specification Section. The project is described as: The Carlsbad High School Performing Arts Theatre Building is to undergo a 75,121 SF addition to the existing 17,993 SF Carlsbad High School Performing Arts Theatre Building. A summary of services the General Contractor shall perform to complete the Project, include, but are not limited to, the following:
a. Planning, supervision and timely completion of the Project
b. Prepare, monitor, and maintain Project schedule
c. Material procurement, delivery, and storage
d. Submittals and Project documentation
e. Manage construction labor and materials
f. Coordinate with Owner direct labor, subcontractors, and Owner furnished equipment suppliers, if applicable
g. Manage site access, safety, security, and quality control
h. Manage testing, inspections
i. Coordination of all utility inspections
j. Project close-out and warranty period Any questions concerning the selection process for this Request for Proposals shall be submitted
to the Procurement Manager listed below. Technical questions regarding the scope of work shall
be submitted to the Design Professional of record, and if appropriate, to the Owner's
Representative.
