Broadway (SR 2002) Curb and Sidewalk Project - 4799997

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of approximately 4,500 feet of curb replacement, 21,850 square feet of sidewalk replacement, 2,275 square feet of concrete driveway apron replacement, miscellaneous storm sewer improvements and paving, and grass restoration on Broadway (SR 2002) in the Borough of Fountain Hill. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the required form, certified check, bank cashier's check, or other security acceptable to the Owner in the amount of 10% of the total Base Bid. Bids will be effective for 60 calendar days from the Bid opening date except as permitted by law, and may not be withdrawn during this period. All Bidders are required to establish proof of competency and responsibility, in accordance with 67 PA Code Chapter 457, Regulations Governing Prequalification of Prospective Bidders and PennDOT Publication 408/2020, Section 102, as supplemented and amended. Subcontractors are required to prequalify in the same manner, if listed in the proposal or if they subsequently undertake the partial or total construction of one or more items of work. All Bidders and Subcontractors must be PennDOT prequalified before the date fixed for the opening of bids. The Contractor shall comply with the provisions of the Act of August 15, 1961 (P.L. 9 87), as amended, known as the "Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act" and the Regulations issued pursuant thereto by the Department of Labor and Industry. The Contractor shall include these requirements in all subcontracts for the project. Specific requirements for bidding are described in the Bidding Documents. The project is subject to the provisions of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, and Non-Discrimination and Equal Employment Opportunity regulations.
