General Engineering Contractor for On-Call Wet & Dry Repair and Installation at LAX and Van Nuys Airports. For further information contact the buyer Mr. Brian Garcia. The Bid must be accompanied either by a check certified by a responsible bank in the City of Los Angeles, or a cashier's check issued by a responsible bank, or a corporate surety bond of a responsible surety company for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, payable to the order of the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles World Airports, as a guarantee that the bidder to whom the contract is awarded will enter into the proposed contract and furnish the required bonds and as liquidated damages for any loss which may accrue from failure to do so; such payment, however, not to preclude recovery by LAWA of any amount over and above said sum to which LAWA sustains damage by reason of such failure or refusal. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by such check or bond. The successful bidder shall provide all Performance Bonds and Payment Bonds on separate forms provided by LAWA. These bonds must be returned to LAWA for approval by the City Attorney's Office. The annual Performance Bonds and Payment Bonds shall be for not less than 100 percent of the annual contract amount. Each of the annual Performance and Payment bonds must be issued by a surety who is authorized to issue bonds in California. LAWA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any informality in such bids when to do so would be to the advantage of the City.
