City of Rancho Cucamonga (City) will receive sealed bids for the materials, supplies, equipment and or services set forth herein, subject to all conditions outlined in the Bid Package, Plans and Specifications. 1. PROJECT NAME PAUL A. BIANE LIBRARY SECOND FLOOR TENANT IMPROVEMENTS FOR EXHIBIT INSTALLATION . The scope of work to be performed consists of, but not limited to, an interior renovation to 250 square feet on the first floor and 5,600 square feet on the second floor of the Paul A. Biane Library. The work on the first floor consists of a new entry space for the childrens museum that is going to be located on the second floor. This entry space on the first floor will house a stroller parking area for the visitors and provide access to the existing stair and elevator. The renovation on the second floor will include a new lobby space and an upgrades through the remainder of the space. Upgrades include flooring, millwork, finish work, the addition of acoustic panels, lighting, and electrical as well as plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection work that will be required to prepare the space to receive a future children's museum. The contract documents call for 90 working days to complete this construction. Engineers Estimate is $1,300,000. A total of ninety (90) working days to complete the project. In accordance with provisions of Section 3300 of the California Public Contract Code, the City has determined that Contractor shall possess any and all contractors licenses, in form and class as required by any and all applicable laws with respect to any and all of the work to be performed under this contract including, a ClassB (General Building Contractor) in accordance with the provisions of the Contractor's License Law (California Business and Professions Code, Section 7000 et. seq.). In accordance with the provisions of Section 1770, et seq., of the Labor Code, the Director of the Industrial Relations of the State of California has determined the general prevailing rate of wages applicable to the work to be done. The Contractor will be required to pay to all persons employed on the project by the Contractor sums not less than the sums set forth in the documents entitled "General Prevailing Wage Determination made by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labor Code, Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, Sections 1770, 1773, 1773.1.
