The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to establish a requirements contract for the purchase and delivery of calcium hydroxide to Chesterfield County. This IFB is a re-solicitation of ADMN22000329 The initial term of this contract shall be effective from November 1, 2022 through October 31, 2023 Inquiries:Questions which may arise as a result of this solicitation may be addressedto Vin Kamatchi, Procurement Managerby email to procurement@chesterfield.gov.Inquiries must be received no later than November 8, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.in order to be considered. SCOPEOF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS SpecificationsChemicalshall be National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) approved for drinking water Percent dry solids shall be 29.5%to 30.5% solids. Slurry shall not settle and damage mixers if not mixed for a 24-hour time period. PH shall be approximately 12.0.Mean particle size shall be 22 microns and the maximum particle size shall not exceed 96 microns. Viscosity shall be less than 150. Material shall be manufactured only with air classified hydrated lime. Bidders shall providetypical product analysis and Safety Data Sheet prior to contract award,and should include this information with the bid response. Failure to provide this information may cause your bid to be declared non-responsive.
