The City of Lamar is soliciting qualification statements from interested firms to assist the city with engineering and project implementation services for the design and completion of upcoming proposed projects. The proposed projects will involve a public water supply well, water line replacement, wastewater lift station, and collection system improvements. Included projects may be related to the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The scope of services includes preliminary analysis of the city's needs, preliminary engineering design, final engineering design, construction observation and project implementation and if applicable, compliance with ARPA program requirements. The best qualified firm will be asked to familiarize itself with the proposed projects and proposed routine services and negotiate an agreement to provide all engineering work needed. Engineering services will include design, bid preparation, project oversight, post construction services payment estimates, and any other engineering work customarily utilized on such projects. Familiarity and experience with this type of work is essential. Selection process will be in compliance with Section 8.285 RSMo, et seq. - RFQ - qualification based. Criteria of final award will include those set out in Section 8.289, RSMo. The contract for employment will be negotiated and must be approved by the City Council.
