Renovation of an educational facility in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The East Campus Air-Handler Replacement project at Century College will include the demolition and replacement of four air handling units (Units 1-4) in two rooftop penthouses. The existing dual-duct mixing boxes on floors 1-3 will be replaced with dual-duct vav boxes. This project includes four AHUs (1, 2, 3, 4). As each air handling system is converted, the existing pneumatic controls will be removed. New controllers, actuators, and other field devices will be changed to electronic direct digital control. The existing electrical branch circuits to existing air handling units being replaced shall be disconnected and retained for the new fans. New fans will be fan-walls so the existing branch circuits will need to be extended to each of the new fans through the adjustable speed motor drivers. The project also includes new ceilings, light fixtures, diffusers, and grilles. Modifications will need to be made to the location of sprinkler heads.
