Contractors are hereby invited to submit a Bid for a project in Montville Township to install hard surface on the pathways in the Cobblestone Park. All Pre-Bid Questions should be submitted in writing to the DPS via email. DPS will provide a response to all questions submitted before a deadline of 4:00 PM, October 4, 2022. Responses to Pre-Bid Questions will be provided by Addendum, a copy of which will be emailed or faxed to each person receiving a set of Contract Documents. DPS is not obligated to respond to, or otherwise act upon, a Pre-Bid Question submitted after this deadline, but reserves the right to act upon any information received. The Board of Commissioners of Medina County (Commissioners) and Montville Township reserve the right to reject any/or all Bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities, and/or accept the Bid deemed the lowest and the best. Bidders must comply with Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (Federal prevailing wage). Saw cutting: The contactor shall saw cut the concrete pathway in 8' X 8' blocks to match the existing pathway. CAD data: The CAD data will be made available to the awarded bidder. The data will be delivered in 2018 Civil 3D drawing format.Stone excavation: Stone must be excavated to allow the concrete to be level and flush with existing pathway. Excess stone and topsoil are to be stockpiled in a location to be determined by Montville Township. Temporary fencing: Temporary fencing shall be located where new concrete meets the existing pathway as shown on Sheet 2. Snow fencing is acceptable. Concrete washout: A dumpster is acceptable as a concrete washout as long as it is watertight. Construction survey work: All construction survey work is the responsibility of the contractor.
