Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Peterborough, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Boundary Road Swing Bridge Replacement - The project consists of the replacement of a heritage swing bridge along Simcoe Street/Mara Eldon Boundary Road near Bolsover Ontario crossing the Talbot River of the Trent Severn Waterway. The old steel bridge was removed in 2021. The work includes fabricating and installing a new working swing bridge including complete mechanical and electrical systems, traffic arms and lights. This includes a completely new steel truss and deck stringer superstructure along with cross nail laminated timber deck and running boards. Concrete abutments and the centre pivot pier in the river are to be rehabilitated while improvements are to be made to the asphalt roadway approaches. The work includes both on-land and in-water work through the winter months. The bridge and roadway are to be reopened in time for the opening of Trent Severn Waterway navigation season 2023.
