Constructed in 1886 by two brothers J.D and N.J. Lewis, the Lewis house is a historical building that has been moved around quite a bit in the community of Longwood. This project consists of the construction of a new gazebo, the design of which is based upon this historic building. The proposed gazebo preserves the distinctive roof line of the building supported by a skeletal structural framework that mimics the original buildings detailing and fenestration. All Bidders shall carefully examine the ITB documents. Any ambiguities or inconsistencies must be brought to the attention of the CITY Purchasing and Contracts Division in writing prior to the due date; failure to do so, on the part of the Bidder, will constitute an acceptance by the Bidder of any subsequent decision. Failure to raise posited ambiguities or inconsistencies on the part of the Bidder will constitute an acceptance by the Bidder of any subsequent decision of the CITY. Any questions concerning the intent, meaning, and interpretation of the ITB documents, including the attached draft agreement, must be set forth in writing and received by the CITY Purchasing and Contracts Division at least five (5) business days prior to the due date. Questions or requests will not be accepted after that time. Questions, as referenced herein, may be sent to the CITY Purchasing and Contracts Division via electronic mail at gkirby@longwoodfl.org. The last day for inquiries is seven (7) calendar days prior to the due date. Inquires must be received in the Purchasing and Contracts Division no later than 5 PM, August 18, 2022 in order to provide adequate response time to queries and issue an addendum, if necessary. The CITY reserves the right to reject all bids, to waive any formalities or minor irregularities, and to solicit and re-advertise for new bids, or to abandon the project in its entirety.
