Renovation of a municipal facility in Denver, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a four-story above grade municipal facility.
The Department of Personnel & Administration (DPA or the Department) has been tasked with the Governor’s initiative of reducing the overall State and private lease space by 1 million square feet over the next five years through better space utilization of the employee work environment, as well as LEED certification for each project. This consolidation will provide diverse workplace options for State agencies to maximize the use of their space and advance the State’s reputation as an employer of choice. In addition, this request will provide much needed renovations on existing state assets. Transforming the State workplace requires initial investments in existing State-owned buildings to improve the shared common areas and HVAC systems. These updates and improvements will result in better utilization of State-owned space and produce long-term savings with reduction in overall lease payments as agencies terminate private leases.
