Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Marietta, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,725-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
A 1-story wood-framed structure of 4,725 gross sq. ft. floor area on a concrete slab and containing a public assembly space, a kitchen, an office, sleeping quarters, restrooms, storage, & fire truck bays. Also included are site improvements consisting of asphalt drives & parking, concrete walks, & landscaping. The building exterior will have a plywood exterior with a thin stone veneer wainscot on all sides, and a standing seam metal roof. The building interior will have painted wood stud walls and suspended acoustical tile ceilings except in the truck bays which will have no finished ceiling; i.e., roof and roof insulation will be exposed. The public areas of the building will be heated and cooled by split-system electric heat pump, and the truck bays will be heated by suspended electric space heaters. Site development consists of grading, asphalt paving, concrete paving, concrete walks, grassing and landscaping.
