For James Foster School Asphalt Concrete Playcourt The project generally consists of the construction of: Prepare site and demo existing playground equipment, remove existing paved surface and basketball poles, over-excavate and recompact playground to receive new concrete paving, adjust grades to improve drainage and construct paving, riprap, curbs, seat wall and v-gutter including new basketball poles, hoops and backboards, install pavement markings for playground games, project does not require DSA approval, however Owner will employ testing and inspection teams to document project requirements. Each bid must be submitted on the bid form provided in the bid documents and accompanied by a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and surety company, or certified check, or cashier's check in favor of the Saugus Union School District, or cash, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Project. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
