It is the intent of the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida to purchase services for metal fabrication work to include all necessary supervision, labor, tools, equipment, travel, fuel, and materials delivered and installed in accordance with local and state regulations. The bidder shall be capable of providing metal fabrication services using steel, aluminum, galvanized steel, stainless steel, copper, kitchen grade stainless steel, and sheet products up to 1/2 inch. Fabrication shall include but not be limited to shearing, braking, bending, rolling, arc welding, mig welding, tig welding, heliarc, and brazing of the above mentioned metals. The bidder shall be capable of all of the above mentioned welding services in both the shop and the field. The bidder must be capable of fabrication and installation of exhaust and ventilation systems, i.e., dust collection systems, fume hoods, and air systems.
