Renovation of a museum in Rockford, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a museum.
** This project has been awarded to Larson & Larson Builders, Inc. ** Discovery Center is renovating Lunch/Birthday Party Rooms into classroom and Makerspace. This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, grant program. Discovery Center encourages 1) "minority" business firms to submit bids on the project and 2) successful contract bidders to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction. The Discovery Center Museum reserves the unrestricted right to reject any or all bids received, to waive or not to waive any informality, or to accept the bid considered to be in the best interest of the Park District and if Discovery Center. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the IL Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).
