Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a mixed-use development in Raleigh, North Carolina. Working plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for asbestos abatement for a playground / park / athletic field.
The furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the above named project. This project is being bid informally; bids will NOT be opened at a public meeting. The Project Scope is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: abatement of asbestos-containing materials (ACM), removal of lead-based paint (LBP), demolition of structures, and the removal and replacement of lead-containing soil. Refer to contract documents for complete description of project scope. Complete Bidding Documents can be obtained by requesting a PDF electronic set: please contact Doug Weaver, Synterra Corporation, dweaver@synterracorp.com. No document deposit is required. Neither the Owner nor Synterra Corporation will be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including any Addendum, obtained from any other source. With requests for Bidding Documents, all requestors shall supply the following information: o Company name, contact person, street address, phone numbers, and email address for bidding office. Indicate if the firm will be a bidder, supplier, or sub-contractor. Partial sets of plans and specifications will not be issued. Contractors are responsible for distributing documents to all sub-contractors. Each bid must be made on the blank forms provided in the Contract Documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope. The name, address, and the North Carolina Contractor's License Number of the Bidder must be plainly written on the outside of the envelope, and the envelope shall be marked with "Bid for" and "274-PRCR-DixParkEnvServ" The following forms, included in the Contract Documents, shall be completely filled out by the Bidder and included with the Bid: o Bid Proposal Form o Acknowledgment of Receipt of Addenda o Proposal Signature Page(s) o Bidder Qualifications o Additional Bidder's Certification o Contractor Performance Policy o Identification of MWBE Participation form for Informal Project Bids Form o Acknowledgment of MWBE Policy Form o Non-discrimination Agreement. Mailed proposals must be received before the bid opening by the date and time specified above. Bidders are responsible for ensuring delivery of mailed proposals before the deadline. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Each Bidder must show evidence that it is licensed under Chapter 87 of the N.C. General Statutes, and the City reserves the right to request additional bidder qualifications as needed. Pursuant to General Statues of North Carolina Section 143-128 and 143-131 and to City policy, the City of Raleigh encourages and provides equal opportunity for Certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) businesses to participate in all aspects of the City's contracting and procurement programs to include - Professional Services; Goods and Other Services; and Construction. MWBE businesses in contracts awarded by the City for: (i) construction and building projects of $300,000 or more; and (ii) construction and building projects of $100,000 or more that have any state funding (Note this project has no state funding). The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of this Notice or of any of the Contract Documents; however, the Owner may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or to Award the contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner.
