Renovation of a fire / police facility in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 10,340-square-foot fire / police facility.

From experienced Construction Manager/General Contractors (CM/GC) for the construction of the CANNON BEACH MAIN FIRE STATION SEISMIC RETROFIT Project. Project Scope of Work: The project consists of seismic strengthening in Cannon Beach Main Fire Station. The CM/GC firms responding to this RFP will be evaluated based upon company overview, firm experience, similar project history, and other criteria identified in this RFP. This solicitation does not obligate the Owner to pay any costs incurred in preparation of Proposals. The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal that is not in compliance with all prescribed requirements. For good cause, the Owner may reject any or all Proposals upon a written finding that it is in the public interest to do so. If, after receiving the RFP, you have inquiries, please contact Tyler Brumit at tylerb@wrkengrs.com The District's construction budget is approximately $1,350,000.00 The project scope includes seismic strengthening for the Cannon Beach Main Fire Station. The building consists of 10,340-square feet. The intent is to strengthen the building to an Immediate Occupancy seismic performance level. Included in Attachment G are strengthening concept drawings for Cannon Beach Main Fire Station, proposers should use consider these upgrades when submitting their response. Seismic strengthening will likely consist of the following elements for Cannon Beach Main Fire Station: o Add plywood, blocking, and sill anchors to existing wood stud walls. o Add sill bolts at 16" OC to existing wood shear wall. o Add hold-downs at end of existing shear wall. o Add in-plane connection between 2nd floor diaphragm and existing wall. o Add Simpson CMST12 straps at floor for diaphragm reinforcing and diaphragm chord reinforcing. o Add 4x8 collector each side of existing roof truss. o Add plywood to existing stud wall in attic to connect roof diaphragm to shear wall below. o Renail existing plywood with 10d nails at 6" OC at panel edges and 12" OC at intermediate supports.
