FACILITY NUMBER MSD0277 Description and location of Project: The principal features of the Work to be performed under this Contract include, but are not limited to the following: a. Construct a new sodium bisulfite building sized to accommodate three (3) 3,000 gallon storage tanks, three (3) sodium bisulfite feed pumps with associated process piping, valves, and appurtenances, as well as one (1) defoaming agent feed pump with associated appurtenances. b. Provide electrical power, plumbing, and HVAC inside the new sodium bisulfite building. c. Provide instrumentation and controls for operating the new sodium bisulfite system. d. Decommissioning of existing sodium bisulfite storage and feed system after new system is fully operational, as specified in the Contract Documents. e. Decommissioning of existing sodium bisulfite distribution building. f. Decommissioning of existing defoaming storage and feed system. g. Relocation of existing effluent sampler into existing defoaming building and decommissioning of existing sampler building. h. All other work required to restore the project site back to existing conditions. All work shall be done in accordance to MSD's Standard Specifications The Project Manager for this Invitation to Bid is Julie Potempa. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of bids may not be answered. Only answers by formal written Addenda will be binding. The Engineers Construction Cost Estimate for this project is between $ 1,500,000.00 and $ 3,000,000.00. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. If selected as applicable below, the Contractor must subcontract at least 18.0% of the total amount of the Contract Bid price to certified African American minority-owned businesses, at least 2.0% of the total amount of the Contract Bid price to certified Asian-Indian American minority-owned businesses, and at least 15.0% total amount of the Contract Bid price to certified Caucasian Female businesses
