Period of Contract: One (1) year term, with up to four (1), one-year renewal options I. PURPOSE The purpose of this solicitation is to establish, with one qualified source, a lawn care and grounds maintenance service contract for the DMV Charlottesville office, located at 2055 Abbey Road, Charlottesville, Virginia 22911 II. SCOPE OF WORK A. GENERAL 1. Lawn care and grounds maintenance includes all exterior areas of the DMV property; areas to be maintained include all: grassed areas, mulched areas, flowers, shrubs, trees, parking lots, drainage ditches, walkways, driveways, and any other area(s) not specifically mentioned but located within the property. 2. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, and materials to provide lawn care and grounds maintenance services in accordance with the requirements set forth herein. On-site storage will not be provided. All equipment must be maintained in good operating condition and be of sufficient quantities to adequately perform all services, and must be available at the time of service. As applicable, all equipment must be OSHA certified and/or meet all OSHA requirements. 3. Landscaped areas, lawns, shrubs, and any other decorative vegetation shall be maintained in a manner that presents a well-groomed appearance, promotes survival and uniformity, and prevents noxious/invasive weeds and woody vegetation. Grounds maintenance services shall be performed in an efficient and workmanlike manner consistent with the highest generally accepted industry standards for the task being performed.
