The New York State Department of Transportation is assisting B&H Engineering, PC (B&H), in the selection and retention of a Subcontractor, to provide Rope Access to Williamsburg Bridge Towers for Consultant State Inspection Teams inspecting the Williamsburg Bridge under Contract No. D038201 The selected Subcontractors will be required to provide all labor, materials, machinery, tools, and equipment for the Rope Access for the Williamsburg Bridge Biennial Inspection located over the East River, connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York City in the State of New York. The required services will assist B&H and New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) personnel, or their authorized designee, with the inspection of said bridge. The selection will be made for the Total Cost based on the daily rate. B&H reserves the right to also use the second low bidder if the equipment is not available from low bidder. The project duration is from the beginning of the Contract (anticipated in mid-August 2022) until May 31, 2024. It should be noted that the majority of the work will be performed from September through December of 2022 with minimal or uncertain amount of work anticipated in 2023.. A representative of NYSDOT may be present. Attendance at B&H 141-07 20 Avenue Suite 501, Whitestone, NY 11357 by a representative from each of the prospective bidders is encouraged but not mandatory. The Award of the Contract will be made within 30 calendar days after receipt of Bids, subject to final approval of NYSDOT. A tabulation of the Bids will be provided to all Bidders by mail. B&H has a prime contract with the NYSDOT, Contract No. D038201. All applicable provisions of the prime contract apply to the subcontract. B&H reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities, to invite for new bid proposals and to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or conditional bids. There may be separate contracts for each type of equipment. Insurance: Insurance requirements are as follows and shall be in accordance with the specifications in the Bid Documents: Policies of Bodily Injury Liability and Property Damage Liability Insurance; Policies of Automobile and Truck Insurance; Workmen's Compensation Insurance; All Subcontractor's. Permits - B&H will procure all permits necessary to perform work, including, but not limited to: entry and temporary lane closure permits. Contract term: 24 month
