Closing Time: 2:00 PM (NT) This is the first phase (Phase One) of a two-phase process: the first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers; the second phase (Phase Two) will invite the qualified suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. The qualification list will expire within 60 days or upon award of a contract in Phase Two, whichever is earlier, and the prequalification list will not be used in any other solicitation. Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) has a requirement, on behalf of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for Wharf Construction at Pool's Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador. The work covered under this project consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for Wharf Construction at Pool's Cove, NL. In general, work under this contract will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: 1. Construction of a new timber pile wharf extension, complete with reinforced concrete deck and concrete pile caps. 2. Supply and installation of mooring cleats, structural timber for coping, wheelguard, wheelguard blocking, bracing, fenders, ladders and associated hardware for new wharf extension. 3. Electrical work for a complete installation. Note that the Contractor must incorporate COVID-19 standardized protocols in their site specific Health and Safety Plan. Before submitting a bid, it is recommended that bidders visit the site and its surroundings to review and verify the form, nature and extent of the work, materials necessary for the completion of the works, the means of access to the site, severity, exposure and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account of error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply.
