Subject to conditions prescribed by the University of California, Los Angeles, sealed bids for a Job Order Contract are invited for the following work: Telecomm Structured Cabling JOC - Campus, Asset Management, and Off-Campus Leased Facilities 2022 DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The University seeks to hire a contractor to perform telecommunications structured cabling work that will be delivered by Job Order Contracting (JOC). As described in more details in the Bidding Documents, Work under the JOC will be limited to the following: 1. Intra-building telecommunications structured cabling construction involving low voltage systems trade work where the value of each job performed is between $2,500 and $700,000, and where work is performed in any on-campus building excluding the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, 100 Medical Plaza, 200 Medical Plaza, and 300 Medical Plaza. 2. Intra-building telecommunications structured cabling construction involving low voltage systems trade work where the value of each job performed is between $1 and $5,999 to support University Capital Improvement and Remodel projects when a General Contractor is present and where work is performed in any on-campus building excluding the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, 100 Medical Plaza, 200 Medical Plaza and 300 Medical Plaza. 3. Intra-building telecommunications structured cabling construction involving low voltage systems trade work where the value of each job performed is between $1 and $400,000, and where work is performed in the 100 Medical Plaza (Manoukian Medical) building. 4. Intra-building telecommunications structured cabling construction involving low voltage systems trade work where the value of each job performed is between $1 and $700,000, and where work is performed in the following off-campus owned University facilities: UCLA Westwood Center, UCLA Wilshire Center, and UCLA Wilshire Glendon Museum Building and all buildings purchased by University after the date this Project's bidding documents become available to bidders. 5. Intra-building telecommunications structured cabling construction involving low voltage systems trade work where the value of each job performed is between $1 and $400,000, and where work is performed in off-campus leased facilities. The following buildings and scope are excluded from this contract: 1. The Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center 2. 200 Medical Plaza 3. 300 Medical Plaza 4. The Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center & Orthopedic Hospital 5. All University-owned off-campus buildings (except as included above) 6. The UCLA Lake Arrowhead Conference Center located in Lake Arrowhead, CA. 7. Structured cabling maintenance work, and provisioning of copper and/or fiber patch cables/cords. 8. Inter-building structured cabling construction involving low voltage systems trade work. The Job Order Contract will have a Maximum Contract Value of $2,000,000 for the 1-year Base Term, and $2,000,000 during each 1-year Option Term, if exercised by University. During the contract term, there is potential for multiple job orders to be issued by multiple Project Managers concurrently. For all work on this Contract to be performed inside Health Care Facilities, Contractor shall comply with the requirements set forth by the California Department of Public Health for Health Care Facilities. See Section 01 35 13 for further information. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: The successful Bidder will be required to have one of the following California current and active contractor's licenses at the time of submission of the Bid: C-10 License (Electrical) or C-07 License (Low Voltage Systems) Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. In addition, the University is committed to promoting and increasing participation of small business enterprises (SBEs) and disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs) relating to all goods and services covered under the awarded agreement, subject to any and all applicable obligations under state and federal law, and University policies. The awarded contractor shall make best efforts to provide qualified SBEs and DVBEs with the maximum opportunity to participate. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
