Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Brantford, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 108,000-square-foot, three-story above grade, 23-room, 650-seat educational facility; 64-seat day care center; for site work for a clubhouse / community center; and library.

The Board invites the prequalified Bidders from 2023-58-PQ for Contractor Services to Bid for the supply of all labour, materials, equipment, and services required for the erection and completion of a New Southwest Community Centre, Elementary School and Library located at 10 Strickland Ave., at Shellard Lane Brantford. In accordance with the drawings and specifications prepared by ZAS Architects Inc. Scope of work associated with the project is generally described as follows: 1. The Multi-Use, Joint-Build facility size is to be approximately 105,500 sq ft in total area. 2. The Elementary School component will be home to approximately 650 students and will be approximately 57,750 sq ft; 3. The Library will be approximately 13,500 sq ft; 4. The Recreation/Community Centre area will be approximately 25,250 sq ft and this includes a single gymnasium and program rooms; 5. The Child Care Centre will be approximately 5,500 sq ft; 6. Mechanical Penthouse will be approximately 3,500 sq ft; 7. Car Parking areas; 8. Landscape areas include playgrounds, open space recreation areas, walkways, fencing, lighting; and 9. Storm Water Management. *The construction budget which will be funded jointly by the Board and the City is approximately 56 Million, excluding soft costs and taxes. *The project represents a total investment of $67,079,386, with more than $33 million provided through Capital Priorities, Child Care Capital and Land Priorities funding through the Ministry of Education.
