Rogers Adams Laboratory (RAL) has one of the highest levels of research funding associated with it. A concerted effort has been made to sprinkler all laboratory buildings on campus to provide a critical element of human safety and asset protection. This project will finish the partial sprinkler system installation completed in 2012, and include a new fire suppression system throughout the north side of the facility supplied by a fire pump in the Chemical and Life Sciences Laboratory (CSL). Additionally, related occupancy separations and north-to-south compartmentalization will be addressed by replacing passage doors and hardware. Restroom upgrades will also be included in this project, concluding the partial restroom renovation project in RAL that was initiated in 2013 a total of 6 restrooms are identified to be renovated in the Program Statement.
