As of December 1, 2022, project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. This project generally consists of drilling holes behind the abutments down to the cavities beneath the abutment foundations and wingwalls, installation of empty concrete grout bags equipped with a neck to be pulled up through the drilled holes, pumping of concrete into the grout bags to fill the scour cavities, in-water pollution prevention plan, erosion control and Best Management Plans, and restoration of affected areas, in accordance with the plans and specifications. To be eligible to submit a bid, the Bidder must possess a valid State of Hawai, General Contractor's license. See Special Notice to Bidders for licensing requirements. Prospective Bidders must file with the Director of Public Works their "Intent to Bid." The Prospective Bidder's Intent to Bid must be received by the Administration Office, Department of Public Works no later than 4:30 p.m., TEN (10) calendar days prior to the bid opening date.
