The City of The Colony ("the City") is accepting competitive proposals from eligible telecommunications companies for the design, supply, integration, installation, and commissioning of Dark Fiber Infrastructure connecting two data centers via a new 144-strand fiber backbone capable of at least 40Gbps. Bidder must submit, prior to the bid opening time, a Cashier's Check, Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the amount of bid. Bonds or check must be sent to the Purchasing Manager at cdelossantos@thecolonytx.gov. Bid Bond originals must be received by the Purchasing Manager before the bid opening date. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Payment and Performance Bonds for 100% of amount bid from a Surety licensed to do business in the State of Texas, 15 days after the bid awarded. The bidder must submit, with the bid, a Cashier's Check, Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the amount bid. The winning bidder, upon City acceptance, will be required to provide the City with a minimum two (2) year maintenance bond. The maintenance bond shall be in the amount of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) or ten (10%) percent of the amount of the contract, whichever is greater, but not to exceed one hundred (100) percent of the contract amount from a licensed Surety contractor within the State of Texas. All prices quoted shall be F.O.B. destination, The Colony, Texas. The City of The Colony reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, all or in part, to waive any informality in any proposal, and to accept the proposal which, in its discretion, is in the best interest of the City of The Colony.
